Passport Dept. launches postal parcel service

RIYADH: The Passport Department has launched its new postal parcel service, aimed to deliver residency permits (Iqama) to beneficiaries directly, Saudi Press Agency said.
The service will be conducted through the ‘Muqeem” e-portal, in coordination with the Elm Company. The department claims that this advancement will develop the e-portal’s list of services, which include the issuance of profession changes, service transfers and the launching of the postal parcel service.
The Passport Department also said that the portal will allow them to be linked with firms electronically, simplifying the process of issuing and canceling exit-reentry visas, final exit visa and renewal of residency permits for expatriates.
The Muqeem portal has performed over six million operations since its implementation, with more than 4.5 million residents currently utilizing its services. The Saudi Post earlier announced its extensive preparations for prompt and accurate deliveries of the documents issued by the Passport Department.
